Digital lightning Oil Lamp for Infusion'23

Lighting the oil lamp is a cherished tradition observed at the start of events, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of knowledge and prosperity. Traditionally, a candle is used to ignite the oil lamp. For a recent event, I designed an innovative website that modernizes this tradition by incorporating technology.

This website allows invitees to virtually light the lamp. By clicking a button on the website's interface, a message is sent through a wireless network to an Arduino circuit connected to the lamp. This Arduino circuit then activates the lamp, creating a seamless blend of tradition and technology.

The user interface is clean and intuitive, allowing invitees to easily navigate and find the button to light the lamp. Upon clicking the button, the website instantly sends a signal to the Arduino circuit through the wireless network, ensuring a prompt response. The Arduino circuit is programmed to receive the signal from the website and trigger the lighting mechanism of the oil lamp, involving a relay system that safely and efficiently ignites the lamp. Utilizing reliable wireless communication protocols, the system ensures that the signal is transmitted quickly and without interference, providing a seamless user experience.

This project elegantly combines the cultural significance of the oil lamp lighting ceremony with modern technological advancements, creating a unique and memorable experience for participants. The website is designed to be part of the overall event experience, integrating other event details and features to enhance attendee engagement and participation. By merging traditional practices with innovative technology, this website not only preserves cultural heritage but also showcases the potential of modern solutions in enhancing and evolving longstanding customs.
